Recently, Samsung collaborates with R&R Industries to set up a first television line-up facility in Karachi, Pakistan. This was first announced by Abdul Razak Dawood who serves as the Adviser for Commerce and Investment to Prime Minister Imran Khan.
R&R Industries CEO Moosa announced the company’s has signed an agreement with Samsung and plans to set up a manufacturing plant for the Samsung TV lineup in Pakistan. This will set up the plant in Karachi’s Korangi Industrial Area.
Abdul Razak Dawood has also added that this Samsung’s plant would become fully functional in the fourth quarter of 2021. October, November and December are the starter months of the Samsung. Samsung’s facility would produce 50,000 units per year.
As we know that Samsung had already announced that it would assemble mobile phones in Pakistan in a joint venture with Lucky Motor Corporation.
Government is to ensure that the ‘Make-in-Pakistan’ policy remains prominent in the country. It will encourage the local business, import substitution, development and generate value-added exports.
Moreover, Company also announced that it had made an agreement with Lucky Motor Corporation in order to commence local production as soon as possible. Production is expected to start in December 2021.
